About me

My name is Dimitris Papavasileiou and I'm the founder of Crimson Search Capital. I'm an entrepreneur who is backed by a number of prominent investors, private equity firms, and family offices and is looking to acquire and operate one business in the lower middle market in the US. My latest work experience includes working at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a leading management consulting firm, advising large US corporate clients and professional investors on business strategy and mergers & acquisitions. During my career at BCG, I advised blue chip clients in multiple industries, including transportation & logistics, energy and the power sector, business services, consumer services, tech, and healthcare.        

Prior to BCG, I spent a decade working in finance and business development roles at Cardiff Marine Group of Companies, one of the world’s largest industrial shipping and offshore groups. While at Cardiff Marine, I was one of the key individuals who built from the ground up the group's liquefied natural gas (LNG) division and was responsible for leading cross-functional teams across different geographies to source, evaluate, and execute multi-billion dollar investments in the maritime industry. I started my career at the Oceanbulk Group, a leading shipping company.      

I received an MBA from Harvard Business School, a master of science in Shipping, Trade, and Finance from Cass Business School, and a bachelor of science majoring in accounting & finance. I currently live in the DC area with my wife who is an active duty army officer.
